David Hardesty is a Tax Partner of Wilson Markle Stuckey Hardesty & Bott. David is also a writer and has completed 7 books on taxation, financial reporting, SEC compliance, and corporate governance, published by Thomson Reuters under the Warren Gorham & Lamont, RIA and Checkpoint imprints. Davids areas of expertise include taxation of electronic commerce, international taxation, taxation of LLCs and S corporations, taxation and accounting for share-based payments, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance and SEC compliance. He currently teaches Taxation of Electronic Commerce and RemoteSellers for the GGU School of Taxation. David also teaches an online course on international taxationfor Northeastern Universitys College of Business Administration. David began his career at Touche Ross & Co., now known as Deloitte. In recognition of his work on taxation and financial reporting, Accounting Today voted David Hardesty one of the Top 100 Most Influential People in Accounting for 2004, 2006, 2007, and 2008, and he was named by CPA Magazine as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Practitioners, for 2005 and 2007. David is a Certified Public Accountant and a member of the American Institute of CPAs and the California Society of CPAs. He is also a member of the GGU School of Taxation Advisory Board and the GGU School of Accounting Advisory Board.
