Jim Regan, a San Francisco native, is currently a Director with PricewaterhouseCoopers, LLP, primarily specializing in sales tax. Jim has thirty plus years of experience in the sales and property tax areas. Since joining PwC in 2000, he has assisted clients with sales tax audit support and representation in California and other jurisdictions, tax planning on various transactions, system process reviews, taxability matrices, training of staff, and spoken at numerous industry conferences. Jim is one of the national sales tax leaders in the healthcare and software industries. Previously, Jim was Director of Property, Sales and Use Tax, for McKesson Corporation, the world's largest healthcare supply company. Prior to McKesson, he worked for a billion dollar chemical company in a similar capacity. During his twenty-five plus years with these two companies, he was responsible for all areas of sales and property tax research, compliance and audits. In addition to the sales and property tax function, Jim worked on M&A due diligence projects, system implementations (SAP), integration work, site tax incentives, cost segregation studies, purchase price allocations, and legislative issues. In addition, Jim is the Chairman of the Finance Committee for Holy Name of Jesus Parish in San Francisco. Jim holds a B.S. in Accounting from the University of San Francisco, an M.B.A. in Management from Golden Gate University and a C.M.I. designation from the Institute of Professionals in Taxation.
