John Simpson's Bio

John Simpson has been an Adjunct Professor at Golden Gate University for over ten years.  Also, John is currently a staff accountant with Bunker & Company and specializes in audits and tax returns for not-for-profit organizations. He has worked in the accounting and finance field for over twenty years and his experience includes working in construction, tax preparation, commercial and consumer lending, and the arts. John became involved with not-for-profit organizations because of his passion for the performing arts, having acted on the stage and screen and serving as the managing director of a mid-sized theatre company for four years. He continues to stay actively involved with the arts community working with theatre and dance companies and is a member of the Individual Services Committee of Theatre Bay Area. John holds a B.S. in Engineering from the University of Vermont, an M.B.A. in Finance from the University of California, Berkeley and a Graduate Certificate in Arts Administration from Golden Gate University.
