Lisa Slater's Bio

Lisa Slater has worked as a full time Professor at Golden Gate University since 2008. In addition to her academic role at GGU, Lisa performs career development mentoring for students and is a liaison to the business community. Outside of GGU, she serves as a team lead for the annual Financial Women’s Association scholarships, and is a member of the AICPA, Cal CPA, and ASWA. Before joining GGU, Lisa was Director of Finance at Gymboree Corporation. Prior to that, she was Director of Finance at a mid-sized tech company. She also worked at Levi Strauss & Company, in both the demand planning group and corporate finance group. She began her career in audit at PwC. Lisa holds M.A. in Economics from the University of St. Andrews in Scotland and a MAc from Golden Gate University. She grew up in England.
