Melynda Moran was born in San Jose, California as an identical twin. She graduated High School in Ceres, California and enlisted in the U.S. Air Force. Her assignments include Japan, the Philippines, and Italy.

As a Staff Sergeant, Melynda was a Personnel Craftsman most recently assigned to the 31st Fighter Wing, Aviano Air Base, Italy. She was the Non-Commissioned Officer in Charge of the Human Resources Department for the Northern Italy Region and was awarded the Air Force Commendation Award and the NATO Service Award.

Among her other assignments, SSgt. Moran was selected to deploy in support of Operations Enduring Freedom and New Dawn at Camp Patriot, Kuwait, helping to return American and coalition forces from Iraq back to the United States, garnering her the Army Commendation Medal and the Army Achievement Medal.

Since her return in 2013, SSgt. Moran has been the Retirements and Separations Manager assisting with the transition of service members to a civilian lifestyle. Melynda is currently a student at GGU in the Masters in Human Resource Management program.
