Prof. Natalia has been working at Golden Gate University since 1998. She has taught a variety of classes at GGU, many with a focus on writing. In 2003, Dr. Karen McRobie and Prof. Natalia developed the PLUS program 9 (Preparation in Language and University Studies) at Golden Gate University (GGU) which helped international students with conditional admission status successfully enter GGU. The program lasted from 2003 to 2017. She taught a range of different classes in the PLUS program (Applied Critical Thinking, Case Study Methods, Presentation Skills, and Culture of the US Classroom), and was the Associate Director of PLUS for close to a decade. Within the PLUS program, she was the course developer for the writing, reading and research class, Applied Critical Thinking.

Prof. Natalia's teaching experience has taken place on several continents. Before teaching in the U.S., she taught abroad in Spain and Mexico, she also taught writing, TOEFL preparation, English Language through Film, presentation skills and conversation classes to university and non-university students in the U.S., including at U. C. Berkeley, California State University Eastbay and GGU. At GGU, she collaborated with a team of instructors and administrators from PLUS, the School of Tax and Accounting and the Ageno School of Business to develop a Gateway program for international students entering the Master’s degree in Accountancy and the Business 201 class for international students entering the School of Business at GGU.

She holds a Master’s degree in Teaching with a specialization in English as a Second Language from the School for International Training in Vermont and a Master’s in Fine Arts (printmaking) from the University of Indiana, Bloomington.
