Barbara Karlin has taught in the Braden School of Taxation at Golden Gate University since 1983. She joined the full-time faculty in 1986 and became Dean of the school from 1997-2002 and Dean of the Ageno School of Business from 1999-2002. In 2002, Barbara became the university’s Vice President of Academic Affairs. She served as Vice President for 18 years through April 2020. Upon retiring from that position, the university awarded her the status of Vice President Emerita.

Dr. Anitha Manohar received her PhD in Finance from the University of South Carolina in 2009. Before joining Golden Gate University, she was an Assistant Teaching Professor of Finance at Quinnipiac University in Connecticut for four years and at Mercer University in Georgia for eight years. She has taught finance courses in Investments, Derivative Securities, Security Analysis, Corporate Finance, International Finance, Portfolio Theory and Financial Planning.

A GGU faculty member since 2000, Jay Gonzalez is Vice Provost for Global Affairs and Dean of GGU Worldwide. Prof Jay, as he is fondly referred to by students globally, is also Mayor George Christopher Professor of Public Administration and Chair of GGU’s Department of Public Administration—the oldest Public Administration program in Northern California.
