Congratulations on your acceptance to Golden Gate University!
We welcome you to GGU and wish you great success in achieving your academic goals. We’ve provided a new student checklist below to help you stay on track with your enrollment.
Pay Your Tuition Deposit
and Accept Your Admission Offer
If you have any questions about your admission status, you may contact your Enrollment Advisor directly.
In order to accept your admission offer, all students will need to pay their tuition deposit before logging in to the portal below.
- Log in to your PayPal account or open the app on your phone.
- Note: You will need to create a free account if you do not have one.
- Select “Send” and Enter the Payment Details
- Email: seatdeposits@ggu.edu.
- Amount: $250.00 USD.
- Note: You will see Golden Gate University and PayPal will ask you to “Confirm this is the right person?” – If you do not see Golden Gate University, check the spelling of the email address above and try again.
- Specify the transaction type:
- In the “What’s this for” box, enter “Tuition Deposit for Student First Name, Student Last Name”.
- For Example, if your name is Jane Smith, enter Tuition Deposit for Jane Smith
- In the “What’s this for” box, enter “Tuition Deposit for Student First Name, Student Last Name”.

- Provide Payment Information
- Choose your payment method (e.g., linked bank account, credit/debit card).
- If paying as a guest, enter your payment details (e.g.,credit/debit card).
- Complete the Payment
- Review your information, then click “Send” to finalize the $250.00 USD seat deposit.
- Confirmation Email
- Once the payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email.
- Keep this email as proof of your seat deposit payment.
- Search for Golden Gate University
- In the search bar, type and select “Golden Gate University” as the institution receiving your payment
- Enter Payment Details
- Amount: $250.00 USD
- Reason: Tuition Deposit for Student First Name Student Last Name.
- For Example, if your name is Jane Smith, enter Tuition Deposit for Jane Smith
- Select Your Payment Method
- Choose the payment method you prefer (e.g., bank transfer, credit/debit card, etc.).
- Flywire supports multiple payment methods depending on your location and Golden Gate University’s setup.
- Complete the Payment
- Follow the instructions to complete your $250.00 USD payment for the seat deposit. Depending on the method you selected, you may need to enter your bank or card details and confirm the transaction.
- Track Your Payment
- Flywire will provide you with a tracking link so you can monitor the progress of your payment until it is received by Golden Gate University.
- Confirmation
- Once the payment is processed, you will receive a confirmation email. Keep this email as proof of your $250.00 USD seat deposit payment.
Apply for Federal Financial Aid (Optional)
Have you completed your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA)? If eligible (U.S. citizen or eligible noncitizen), please go to FAFSA® Application | Federal Student Aid GGU‘s school code is 001205. You must also complete a GGU Financial Aid Application. For questions, please contact our Financial Aid Office at 415-442-7270 or finaid@ggu.edu.
Graduate Students Only:
Schedule an Advising Session
All new students attending their first term require advising to register for their first term. You will need to complete the registration form and schedule an appointment with your Academic Advisor. Please select the new student or first-term advising appointment. You will also use this time to learn more about our optional Student Success Orientation prior to the start of classes.
Undergraduate Students Only:
Attend New Student Webinar
& Schedule an Advising Appointment
Your new student webinar is an opportunity to obtain important information that will add to your academic success and wellbeing at GGU. You will need to schedule a time> to walk through your new student portal & course registration with your Academic Advisor. You will also use this time to learn more about our optional Student Success Orientation held prior to the start of classes.
