Dr. Judith Lee is a Tenured Professor and Dept. Chair of Business Innovation & Technology in the Ageno School of Business, A past recipient of the Nagel T. Miner Research Professorship focusing on Business Analytics Education, Judy has developed and taught Master of Science degrees in IT Management, Project Management, and Business Analytics. She is past chair of the Committee on Academic Standards and currently a member of the Faculty Personnel Committee. Judy has a BA in American History, an MBA in Management, and holds the degree of Doctor of Business Administration. She is also a certified Project Management Professional (PMP).
Judy has over 35 years of experience in technology management and consulting to high-tech. She has chartered and managed multiple organizations, and served for seven years as a member of the Advisory Board of the Fisher CIO Leadership Program, Business Institute, the Haas School at U.C. Berkeley, She has served as the interim CIO for a chip design subsidiary of Fujitsu USA, and has been a guest lecturer and consultant to startups. Judy has presented at multiple conferences and her research published in the Proceedings of the Southern Management Association and the California Management Review. Most recently she chaired the IE Big Data Innovation Summit (2017) and the IE Machine Learning Summit (2018), both held in San Francisco.
Judy and her husband Jim have two grown sons and three grandchildren. She has served on the boards of several Bay Area nonprofits.
